    Hi,
We all want to know more about the third exercise prescribed by Andrei to help us improve our vision. Here's what i understand:

    1. We have to gaze at a distant object (e.g i gaze at a faroff road sign)
    2. Get a flash of clear vision (i do this by blinking in a manner or squinting at it...now i am able to see the sign clearly and read the letters)
    3. Keep the vison and blink (the moment i blink again the flash of good vision goes :( )

Andrei we would be very grateful if you elaborate on the various techniques to get that flash of good vision and how to keep it long...Also tell us how to relax our eyes afterwards...

    Thanks a lot,
    **==Vikram==**

    Hey, Vikram.

Thanks for your post & congrats on your decision to improve your eyesight naturally.

What you described is quite correct... it's exactly what I, myself, did at first, from I recall, to restore my own eyesight. I forced my eyesight to see, at first, but then tried a different approach, which turned out to work better for me.

I straightened my back, took some deep breaths, and took 2 minutes to draw a horizontal 8 with my eyes. Did this while fully relaxed and feeling happy and peaceful. I then did the Palming exercise for 5 - 20 minutes (varied, depending on how much free time I had). I then begun doing the gazing thing, in between my work. I found that feeling relaxed and happy (smiling, if possible), back straight, and deep breaths helps to see the objects far away without any effort on one's part. When blinking, I blinked very lightly, only for 3 seconds or less, with gaps in between (just like a butterfly does, when it tries to sit on a flower that is swung by the wind).

Crossing my eyes also helped me to focus.

Another big thing that helped was a face massage. There are points on our face massaging which helps to relax our eye muscles. I was told about them twice when I was younger... once by a very good oculist (ophthalmologist) doctor, and another by an alternative medicine specialist, friend of my mom - also very good, she's doing all big politicians around the world (including our former president, Yeltsin). Unfortunately I never took notice of them, until recently. These points are no secret though, so search for face massage, and you'll likely find them. They are located around our eyes, and near our nostrils. Press firmly, but not too hard. Also remember that massages are done at your heart's pace.

So, that's what I did. I think that if you understand how it all works and why our eyesight improves, you'll then begin to develop something that'll suite yourself. Practice it, and then let us know how it goes.

Also, you've said that you're doing Palming for 10 minutes every day... How often do you do it? Consider doing it every hour, ideally, as it'll help A LOT then.

hi andrei i have a question...why does my vision seem to get worse everytime i wake up from sleep? Do you experience that too, and is it normal or are we supposed to have better vision when we wake up?

Hi, Waltz, your questions is irrelevant to exercise 3... :o)

    I'll happily answer it though.

From my experience I found that when you go to asleep with tired eyes, you'll wake up with tired eyes. My sources tell me that we need to relax our eyes, before going to sleep. They're saying that going to sleep doesn't automatically guarantee relaxation for our eyes, i.e. that if eye muscles are tense when we go to bed, they'll likely stay tense throughout all night. To relax them, I did Palming, and did swings from left to right. I'm sure that I had mentioned this one somehwere... But if not, it goes like this: You stand up, feet at shoulder width, hands just hanging naturally, and you start swinging your body from side to side, including hands, but not feet. Relax your eye muscles as much as you can, looking straight, and try not to focus your vision on anything while moving. You can focus when you reach max left, or max right, but not in between. Another exercise is to use a candle (lighter, match, or any other source of fire), turn the lights off, making the room dark, and start turning your head from side to side, while looking straight. Then you can do Palming. I still try doing these ones, in fact, since it doesn't take long, and helps to keep my eyesight strong.

Hi Andrei. I've been doing some of your exercises for a couple weeks but I am still not succeeding. Maybe I am not relaxing enough, but relaxing is easier said than done. Do you have any tips to help relax? Also, which things (whether they are exercises or not) were most helpful for you?

Can you tell me the blinking pattern for the third exercise?
When I try to stretch my vision on a distant object, i find it uncomfortable sometimes and need to blink more often than usual..

So how must one blink while stretching our vision?

Should it be a rapid 2-3 blinks in 2-3 seconds or a slow blink (closing your eye for almost half a second)...

Sorry, i did'nt get your butterfly analogy :(

Dont worry about it too much... just think about relaxing. You can actually blink without losing good eyesight. It takes practice, but I mastered it...

This is what Andrei Petunin says in his book about curing one's eyes.

Something else that I feel the need to clarify here is that I am not a doctor, I do not hold any
qualifications in the area whatsoever, so please treat everything that I say here as my own opinion.
Although you cannot possibly damage your eyes by just rolling them around, I must say that I am
not responsible for anything that you do as a result of reading my information. Always consult with
your doctor before doing anything with your eyes...

    If he isn't a doctor,
how does he know the excersises are safe and working.
After using his system, my eyes got worse!
